What are the Kernel Parameters associated with the SGA?

For SGA Kernel parameters are SHMMAX, SHMMIN, SHMNI and SHMSEG.

SHMMAX kernel parameter control maximum size in bytes, of a single shared memory segment.

SHMMIN kernel parameter specifies minimum size of a single shared memory segment.

SHMIN kernel parameter specifies the number of shared memory identifiers.

SHMSEG kernel parameter specifies the number of shared memory segment per process

On Solaris these parameter are in /etc/system file. On HP use SAM tool to set the kernel parameter.
