Hi,
I had to Upgrade the Oracle database from 8.1.7.4 to 10g(10.0.2) before that i had a Oracle version of 8.1.6.2.0 so i applyed a patchset for 8.1.7.4 from here i have to upgrade to 10.0.2 , so here iam not getting the details in metalink nor in google for 10.0.2 ,So i request you to send me the details from 8.1.7.4 to 10.2.0, as it is very urgent to me please. |

Direct upgrade from 8.1.7.4, 9.0.1.4 or higher, 9.2.0.4 or higher, and 10.1.0.2 or higher to the newest Oracle Database 10g release is supported. However, you must first apply the specified minimum patch release indicated in the Current Release column.

Hi,
Thank you for giving suggesstion and one thing i want to ask u a question please if am upgrading the oracle database from 8.1.6.2.0 to 8.1.7.4 (for example) i have to apply the patch of 8.1.7.4 and also please tell me if i downloaded the patch from metalink of higher version(8.1.7.4) of oracle patchset where should the exact patch destination i have to give to install the patch to higher version.i have to give the patchset in root $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch or any Other destination? and also please tell me there is any need of running the 8i Scripts to work the database perfectly like catalog,catproc,catrep etc.
