By the way you can do one thing - Get the old values and insert new row and delete the old one....

hai friends this is not my question...this question was asked by HR in my interview thats why i asked that question...hello Mr.parveez i know little bit about Oracle...

May be your right the question is asked by HR but when you know little bit about oracle then you must give him answer it is smiply not possible.

and ask him (hr) one question...
how maintain company payroll with HR dept ?


The reason is: HR is not technical guy that is why he doesn't know importance of software. it is thought in normal way not in technically.
