 Hi All,
We have an Oracle Database 9i running on RHEL4, no with time our DB size grows & we want to migrade it from storage to SAN (Storage Area Network). Can anyone please tell me how can we procced with this task.
I mean to say steps to migrate database to SAN.

HI,

You can follow these steps:

1. Backup the database and control files.
2. Mount the SAN space in Linux
3. Rename the database files, redeo files, and control files,etc. to that location.
4. Backup the control file.



 Time Zone: EDT
