delete the duplicates from a table so that the table has to contain the column values after deletion such as we get when we use the select distint * from tablename;

Hi,
you use this script for delete multiple records.
DELETE EMP
WHERE ROWID NOT IN
(SELECT MAX(ROWID)
FROM EMP
GROUP BY empno)
