Hi,
I got a problem from appln team that a query is running very slow when itz executed through the appln. What are the parameters i need to check? Wht are other things i need to check? Please suggest actions to troubleshoot it.

Is this query running fine from other tools like sql*plus,toad ?
If No ... then you need to get explain plan of this query and see
if any full table scan is there.
Indexes are used properly for this query.
And SQL Tuning needs lot of reading and understanding so please go through below link.
