Hi all,
Could i know the query to make an database object to invalid from valid as i did upgrade from 8i to 10g i want to make an invalid object for triggers as i executed all catalogs,catprocs & utlrep.sql scripts i don't want the trigger to be used in new 10g database there is any query with out dropping the trigger.

Hi Ramesh,
You have't mentioned the owner of the invalid object after 10g upgrd to look into ,In 9i Synonym behavior makes no real sense because the synonym is always valid, for example when altering the underlying table or even when dropping the underlying table. 10g behavior makes more sense because the validation of the synonym occurs WITH altering/dropping the underlying table. While 9i will leave it valid even when the object doesn’t exist anymore, which is not really correct.This is a improvement done with 10g.
