Sir,
Please teach me the best practice to deal when RAC instance with dataguard configuration is hanging
1) DGMGRL commands override SQLPLUS commands .
2) There should't be downtime
3) Archive gap is 100+

Can you specify your OS and Oracle version information ?
and log gap is the only problem ?
