can i install oracle 10g rac on my windows xp machine,if yes then how and if no then why,
wt do i need prerequiesties on my machine.

Yes. You should install Oracle RAC in your windows pc using vmware software. Try to find out in google you will get documentation how to install oracle rac on windows using vmware.
