Hi all i am working on Oracle 9i with Linux Operating System, so whenever
i create a new database the alert.log file show error linux Permission not available but in linux i give a permission on that perticular folder throug chmod +777 but it still showing same error either multiplexing or creating a new database please help!!!!!!!!! |

Change the owner on oracle folder.
did you create database with Oracle user or ROOT user?

yes i m doing the same mistake cos i m giving permission on root user
but we need to oracle user, u r absolutely right
