In one of my database of 8i version the customers are complaing that the reports are taking much time approx 2 hours i had check the chache hit ratio it is shwoing 99 % but the customer is wating a long to compile forms and reports please help me out as i am new to the database world

Hi,
Take a staspack snapshots and try to see what wait events consumed the most of the time. You can also use this report to see what statements are the most expensive ones and check if their execution plans are what you expected them to be.
Alternatively,you can upload your report to this site and get free tuning recommendations instantly from online analyzer.

murtuza bahi i dont know how to take the stats pack snapshot my database is on windows can u tell me how to create the stats pack report

please read the error msg i had created the perfstat tablespace
and run the script this the error msg i got
NOTE:
SPCUSR complete. Please check spcusr.lis for any errors.
