anyone can explain how to create an oracle metalink account.pls reply ASAP.

you have to subscribe it from the Oracle company(you have to buy)
you have to be paid if you want to raise a service request.
other wise you are one of the enployee of Oracle

Metalink is a service provided by Oracle to customers who want any sort of
technical assistance. You can either search the existing knowledge by searching for key words or you can log a specific Technical Assistance Request (TAR).
To register a username you would need the CSI number of the customer first.
This is generally subscribed by the companies who use Oracle products. For ex. Company A is using Oracle Financials they will subscribe for silver or gold support. Those people will be given access to the Metalink. So if you are working for Company A then you can create your own account with your user name and password.

Metalink is paid support from Oracle.
through metalink you can get ORA-00600/07445 LIKE Critical error solution , patches for bug, upgrade patch set.
When you purchase Oracle Software that time oracle will provide metalink support for a year according license agreement.
after that if you want continue then you have to renew every year.
