HI
can you please tell me what is the formula to calculate the optimum values of linux kernel parameters in accordance to oracle SGA and number of processes. |

The OS (Solaris 5.10 & most other linux OS) need atlist 1GB memory to run comfortably... so if your system has 3GB RAM. You can assign at most 2GB to ORACLE(10g). leave 200-400 MB and use 1400MB-1500MB for SGA . Please use Automatic Shared Memory Management
