Hi All,

There is any need to specify the oinstall/DBA Groups,Username permissions for Oracle 10g and Kernel Parameters in sysctl.config file after installation of Linux AS4,if we are using "DBCA" there is any need of specifying Kernel Parameters details ? or it is going to take default Kernel Parameters if we are using DBCA ? as i did Manually only not by DBCA for Oracle Installation & Database creation.

Thanks in advance.........

Hi,
I did't get your question correctly. :)
At the time of Oracle Installation we have to specify the kernel parameters in the sysctl.config file...otherwise you will get error..
Then DBCA we are using for creating the database. At the time of installation of the oracle S/W you can use DBAC to create the database, and after also.

Regards
Gopu
