| wE KNOW RMAN IS AN INCREMENTAL BACKUP. BUT MY RMAN BACKUP FILES WERE ACCIDENTALLY DELETED NOW WHEN I AGAIN BACKUP THE DATABASE,IT SHOWS THE DATAFILES ARE ALREADY BACKED UP... WHAT SHOULD BE DONE? |

Hi,
using RMAN we can take incremental backups as well as the full database also. what types of backups you are taking,is it full or incremental & in which days..?
how you are deleted the rman backups through OS command or through RMAN ?
what is your retention ploicy ?

I TOOK FULL DATABASE BACKUP.. AND THROUGH OPERATING SYSTEM IT GOT DELETED....

Never delete the rman backups from the os side.Then why you given the retention policy.Delete it from the rman prompt.
Then please post the error you got in the rman prompt
