Hi friends,
I am connected to target database using rman. When i issue the following command i get:
RMAN>BACKUP FORMAT 'E:\ORACLE\ORADATA\BISHAL\BACKUP\%U%' ARCHIVELOG ALL;
OUTPUT IS:
STARTING BACKUP AT 29-APR-08
USING CHANNEL ORA_DISK_1
USING CHANNEL ORA_DISK_2
USING CHANNEL ORA_DISK_3
SPECIFICATION DOES NOT MATCH ANY ARCHIVE LOG IN RECOVERY CATALOG
FINISHED BACKUP AT 29-APR-08
WHAT IS TE PROBLEM AND WHAT CAN BE THE SOLUTION TO IT?

Hi,
which version of the oracle database you are running ?
Archive files are there ?
you deleted any archive files ?
you database is in archive log mode ?

my database was mounted but not open so i was getting that problem... now its fine... thanx anyways
