| Can anyone guide me on steps for creating auxiliary database as well as making a duplicate database |

hi
you can use RMAN to duplicate a database.
you can go for cloning also to make the fopy of the production db

i think Murtuja we are fight :). Auxillary,Clone and Duplicate database terms are same only.But we are adopting different methods to create the same thing :)
