Hi all,
i have two queries. i have a data base of 25Gb.
1). what size should be of SGA
2). what is appropriate size for undo tablespace and undo retention.

I would suggest you to run statspack report on your database. If you like email me your statspack report and I can review it.

1.) Well, Initially it is not possible to estimate correctly the size of SGA..but intitially,the size of SGA should be
SGA_MAX_SIZE = physical_mem - Kernal_Mem - Applications_using_Mem_on_same_server
Then u need to monitor, if SGA is undersized or oversized.
2.)
Size of UNDO Retention =
undo_size / (undo_blocks_per_sec * db_block_size)
Size of UNDO Tablespace=
undo_Retention * (db_block_size * undo_blocks_per_sec)+ db_block_size
