Hi all,
In documentation, it states that open cursors will stay in the v$open_cursors view until the open_cursor init paramter is reached.
We have 425 rows in v$open_cursors and our open_cursor init parameter is set to 50.
Can you please clear it.
Thanks,
Vimal

Hi Vimal,
open_cursors are the number of cursors that a session can have at once or you can say ?per session?.
You might run this query to find out the sessions and associated cursors.
select user_name, sid, count(1) from v$open_cursor group by user_name, sid;
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Vigyan
