| Please tell me when we truncate a table will it release the space in memory??? |

when truncate command is issued, all the rows from the
table are deleted and the memory space occupied by the
table in the tablespace is also released

It will release tablespace .What prompt to u say that it will not release the space if u highlight a bit then i can give a better explanation .
Do one thing , u load records say 20K and more and then try to truncate the records manually and parallell observe the OEM (diagrammatical representation ) and u will clearly see that its releasing space .

yes u r right scorpio,it will certainly release the space in tables and also the High water mark will come to its starting position in table.
