| If you have a composite index composed of columns a and b (in that order), will it be used if your where clause contains a, b and c (in that order)? My basic question is: do all columns in the where clause have to be in the composite index for the index to be used during execution? |

Yes, index should be use in the same order. in A,B and C, index on should be used first.
