I tried to migrate the complete database from one compiuter to another.
It's on oracle 9i and need to imported on same oracle 9i,
I used exp utility to export it.
e.g exp system/<pass.> full=y file=c:\mydb.dmp

There is no problem while doing export, it prepares mydb.dmp on given location.
I have kept mydb.dmp in server and used imp utility to export.
e.g imp system<pass.> full=y
It has importyed successfully.

I got confusion with imp utility to get same database in destination computer.

I have found that there is mapping parameter with Oracle datapump in
10g. Now, in oracle 9i, didn't get the same database inside oradata
(Where the database resides) folder at server after doing import.

What additional work I should do to get exported same complete
database in oradata folder in oracle so that I can open it through
startup after changing ORACLE_SID, os environment variable in
destination computer.

I guess you came to know the scenirio, could you please guide me what
additional I should to get same exported database in destination using
imp utility.

I tried and even explore on net but not got the satisfied solution.

Create new tablespaces the way you want data files and then import the data.

Hope it helps.
