Hi ,

I have few doubts about coalesce tablespace in 9i.

1) Will it free within a segment in 9i?

2) Does it has effect on LMT ?

3) My all tablespaces are LMT therefore what & how much effect
will coalesce have ?

Please let me know any major issues with it.

Rgds,

Somu

LMT tablespace mostly no fragmentation.
But you can look for the object details in dba_segments -->empty blocks and once you run coalesce tablespace identify the difference in empty_blocks column for dba_segments for all objects create on that tablespace.
Thanks,
Satya
