My production database(Oracle 10g) is on RHEL AS 4.0 64bit

My Newiable server is same as Proudction(same directory structure)

I am trying to restore latest Production cold backup in another newiable machine same as production.

When I tried to start Oracle, I got the following error:

ORA-00205: error in identifying controlfile, check alert log for more info.

Actually, there are three control files in the file, spfile$ORACLE_SID.ora. So, I do not know why this error should arise. I also checked the control files in the appropriate directory and they do exist,

In alret log file I have get the following errors
ORA-00202: control file : '/usr/oracle/oracle/product/10.2.0/oradata/proddb/control01.ctl'
ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory
Additional information : 3

I am a newbie to Oracle and DBA in general.

Here is the procedure I used to connect in detail:
