Hi,
I want to configure 10g RAC on win32(2003 server) on two dell laptops having configuration:
80GB HDD IDE ATA/ATPI(created Logical drives 100 MB,20 MB,Primary c:,Extended D:)
1 GB RAM
1.7 Ghz Processor
One Ethernet Adapter for Public Network
One Loopback adapter for Private Network
One Crosswire RJ-45 cable.
windows 2003 server
Hosts file is:
139.185.150.201 node1
139.185.150.203 node2
10.10.10.2 node1-priv
10.10.10.3 node2-priv
139.185.150.54 node1-vip
139.185.150.55 node2-vip
on both laptops
Problems:
1)When i ran the 10g Clusterware software CSR wizard
It has given the exception when i added the node2-priv and node2-vip.
"The status returned by the node availability check for nodes node2-priv is"
CLUSTEREXCEPTION
The ablove nodes can be used as virtual host name and NOT as Private nodes"
If I pressed Next by selecting node1 only in step 1
Then it has not any exception and recognized the private and public interface.
(I have only one ethernet card, i have used loopback adapter
for private network, but it did not ping. )
Do i need two ethernet cards?
2)After The step 1 ,The Cluster configuration storage page opened and did not recognize disk, partion size, format type .
all the columns were empty.
why ????????
and not able to continue....
(I am using IDE ATAPI Hard disk, with created logic partitions also)
PleaseHelp
Thanks and Regards,

Yes, you should have second network card in each laptop for interconnect. The network interface that you have is being used for public and vip network.
I never done it but it may be possible to create virtual networks using the same card to use different vlan. If I find anything on it then I will let you know.
It is interesting project. Please keep us posted with your progress.
