Which is a valid CREATE TABLE statement?
A)CREATE TABLE EMP9$# AS (empid number(2));
B)CREATE TABLE EMP*123 AS (empid number(2));
C)CREATE TABLE PACKAGE AS (packid number(2));
D)CREATE TABLE 1EMP_TEST AS (empid number(2));
ANSWER: TK says A
IMO: A,C ???
First of all, I think the AS keyword in the answers is just mistyped.
I removed the AS keyword, and tried each statement in SQL*PLUS.
Both A and C answers worked. But this was single selection question, so only one of them has to be correct.
On the other hand, the table name in A is valid, but using $ and # is discouraged by Oracle.
The table name in C is also valid but it looks like a reserved word.
Any opinion? |

HI!
THOUGH THE USE OF _,$ AND # IS DISCOURAGED BUT U CAN USE THEM WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. U HAVE NO NEED TO THINK WEATHER THE QUESTION IS MISTYPED OR NOT.
"AS" IS NOT A VALID KEYWORD FOR CREATE TABLE STATEMENT, SO IT IS WRONG.
