is it always that inside a datafile that data is stored in form of tables or can it be stored in any other forms such as video,audio files,text word.

I didn't heard anything like what u asked. For storing images,video and such type of objects intermedia will be used as an plugin to Database.

With the recent Oracle versions there is a type of data called as LOB,CLOB,BLOB which is used to store audio,video,text files.For further details contact positivefanatic@yahoo.com
