Hello everybody!
alter table table_name
drop column column_name;
This syntax helps to drop one column at a time from a table, but the following sysntax allowing to delete multiple columns at a time:
alter table table_name
drop (col1,col2,...);
but oracle study mat claiming that"Using ALTER TABLE satement ,only one column can be dropped at a time"
plz help! |

alter table table_name
drop (col1,col2,...);
hello dear ,
This is an exception of oracle. The rule is that you can delete only one column at a time but by using this syntax you can delete one or more column at a time. So do'nt Confused with this.There r sop many exception in the Oracle which u find in next topic as u read . o.k.
