when do we use
alter system & alter database commands
in which conditions do we use there commands |

alter system commands are used mainly to change the db parameters at system level.
alter database is used to change the db configuration like putting the db in archive log mode ,increase or decrease the db files sizes etc.

And Alter database impacts control file
