dear DBA's
my db is runing in archive mode..while taking backup using rman....wather i can get the updated records which is still there in the buffer cache in backupset....or that record will be present in archive log file. |

In so called fast-mechanism,whenever a user commits a change done by her/him,that changed record is first written in Online redo log file,then after a check-point is occured,the DBWR writes these dirty data from DB Buffer Cache to DB data file.When a Online redo log file fills up,a Log switch takes place,after a log switch,the Archiver writes from Online redo log file to archive destination to secure the data.
So data writing depends upon the amount of transaction.Also every three seconds,DBWR is invoked to write all the dirty blocks from DB buffer cache to DB data files.When threshold value reaches,DBWR does the same process.It all depends upon the Data Base u r dealing with.
