 Hi DBA's,

I'm working on 10g on my Linux AS4. Can somebody help me in doing an auto backp of both the cold and hot backup scripts using the CRON jobs.

Can you please send me the detailed scripts to take the Auto backup using the cron jobs to my email ID : rajreddy28@gmail.com.

Regards,

Raja

You can easily get many scrips on how to perform Cold and Hot backups, and schedule them using cron. Take a look at the below URL for scrips.

But, I strongly suggest you to go for RMAN for backup and recovery of you database, it has many features than typical backups cold, hot backup (ALTER TABLESPACE ... BEGIN BACKUP/END BACKUP).

For more information on Oracle RMAN, please take a look at the below URL.

But my company uses only the OS level backups. They dont go for RMAN at this point of time as they have some constraints.

Plz give me the scripts for Auto Backup(hot and cold backups) using the cron jobs. Where by just running the scripts I can perform the backups.

Can somebody help me out and send me an email of those scripts to my email ID: rajreddy28@gmail.com

Looking fwd for ur mail.

Bye,

Raj
