Hello,
What do we mean by : "To keep the system highly available i.e. 24hours*7days of a week." .
And also can somebody help me in detail about the dataguard , its concept,functioning along with the scripts plz.

It means that your production database must be always up and running there no downtime for repair, So, the system should be higly available 24 hours X 7 days a week. If you have standby database configured in place, when your production got crashed or have some problems in access due to media failure, then we can switch to standby database as production.
