| I am using EXP to save database from 9i to load using IMP on new machine's 9i: in the DMP file, table definitions end: 'logging nocompress' - IMP wont load the dmp file - the problem is the nocompress option - if i delete it, tables create ok in the new database - however, i cant edit the whole dmp file like this (as this invalidates a hash in its header I think). ANY ideas anyone? |

It is not good idea to edit binary file. If you need to then try it in wordpad editor.
You can generate new export file with no data and option that you need. Import this file first and then import another file (with data) with ignore=y option.
