hi,
Bitmap index is more efficient than the Binary index. that cos it considers the space in form of a bitmap where 0 specify free space and 1 specify used space. it searches the block which is free by using AND-OR conditions on the bitmap and allocates the free space to it..
it also uses less space and more efficient then the binary index
