Whether the ordering of the composite index key matters
for example if i am having cus_id and anum(arabic numeric) whether the performance will differ if i place cus_id first and anum next or vice-versa.
Pls give me your opinion..
Thanks
Sib

hi,
if you have more than one column in an index then you need to select that column in your select stmnt which is a key(primary, unique,f.k etc..)thus the perfomance of index will increase.

thanks
