wnen i give the command
conn sys/as sysdba
conn (right)
when i write select* from employees.hr
oracle not avivable
(i have not oracleservice)

change your sql statement

select * from hr.employee

Hi Joshi,
when you connect, did you notice the following line on your sqlplus?
Connected to idle instance.
If yes, then your database is not yet started, just issue:
SQL>startup;



 Time Zone: EDT
