What is the default value of the initial value of an extent, and how does this differ from the *minimum* value.
I am looking at two different questions here and they give the following answers:
1. "What would happen if you gave DB_BLOCK_SIZE as 4K and you try to give an INITIAL value of 4?"
- The first extent allocated would be 8k, as the minimum value for INITIAL is 2 times the DB_BLOCK_SIZE.
==============
2. "If we create an object in the db without default storage parameters, what is value of INITIAL ?"
- the value of INITIAL is 5 * DB_BLOCK_SIZE.
I'm wondering why there is this difference.
Thanks.
