Hello All,
I was asked in an interview " how do we find which users is connected to which database at the OS level and which user is doing what action."
Can somebody help me in that plz.

Hi Raj,
it is not possible to do that.
On UNIX we can see the process and know the process id for the users, but there's no possible way to know what the user are doing.
On Windows, because it is thread based OS, we can only see one oracle.exe process in task manager. There is process monitor tool to "see" the contents of the thread but like on UNIX it is not possible to know each user action through OS.

to know what sql a user is running now ,you can check the V$ACCESS dynamic view or you can use any 3rd party tool just like TOAD
