Hi,
If the buffer cache wait events are strictly related to Database Writer I/O activity, then starting I/O slaves is appropriate.
If the buffer cache wait events are occuring for activities related to internal buffer management then starting multiple Database Writer Process is suitable.
a) Can anyone explain these two statements and internal buffer management.
b) What happens if we use Multiple Database Writers instead of Database Writer I/O salves? |
