Hello, I am new to oracle 9i. We do it as a lab exercise in college. I am a new to oracle 9i. We have many clients and a server. We students are allowed to use only the client systems. My problem is this. Whenever I create a table and insert data into it, someone uses the drop table statement to remove my table from another client system. I try to rollback but it does not help. Please help me solve this problem. Again I dont have access to the server. The os used is Win 2000. The id/pass/host--scott/tiger/oracle9.magnaz.local.
Thank you in advance.

hi....
first thing is : drop table is a DDL statement. so once fired, it cant be roll back..
Another thing.. If u loggin as a scott user , then the table created will be owned by Scott..
So any person who is able to log in as scott, can drop the table owned by scott..
So in your case, i think you should meed you sir or administrator, n ask for your personal username and password..
