Hi
I am new to ORACLE DBA....could you explain me, what is the difference between "Backup Recovery" and "Backup Restore".
What are these means????.......
Could you suggest me good links(URL)for ORACLE DBA.........

hi,
Backup Restoring is just copy all the CRD files from Backup to your directory and perform DB recovery with th ehelp of those files.
U just go through DBA books published by Oracle Corporation.

Hi,
In simple words.
Backup Restore ===> Restore Database copy ( .DBF,.CTL,.ARC) file from backup location to database location.
Backup Recover ===> Sync current database to backup copy of database
Note: this is just simple hint...
backup recovery and backup restore depand on backup strategy.
