Hi,

Sequence change number : SCN is ever increase number in database.
it is use for "flashback table ... scn"

it is age of database.
through SCN number you can recover your data from back.

SQL> select dbms_flashback.get_system_change_number from dual;

GET_SYSTEM_CHANGE_NUMBER
------------------------
1387492
