Hi All,
I want to create partitions on my existing table which is growing day by day , I know exporting and importing is the option but is there any other option to do the same such as altering the table.

Hi,
Try with DBMS_REDEFINITION packages.

First gather the DDL of existing table using DBMS_METADATA and rename the existing table with some diff name. Modify the DDL of table with the partition method and partition column and create the table. Finally insert the data from renamed table by putting the original table into nologging mode and applying the APPEND hint for faster insertion.
Cheers !
