Hi,
If you successfully install and restore , recover backup of your old server.
then edit your front end application and change tns_entry for connect to new server.

Hi,

You have two options

if your database 24x7 then you can choose RMAN duplicate options.
if you have downtime then you can choose Traditional method. COLDBACKUP.

Through RMAN DUPLICATE

Through COLDBAKCUP
