Responsibilities:
Design and develop Oracle 10g data warehouse solutions and ensure that development follows established business processes.
Lead and manage other team members.
Develop and maintain various data marts within the data warehouse.
Develop and maintain Oracle Data Warehouse Builder or Informatica ETL for importing data from the source to the data warehouse.
Lead data modeling sessions to design/integrate data warehouses, data marts, and ODS, and manage the logical and physical data models.
Work with business analysts and project managers to analyze requirements for data and reports, and enhancements to existing reports.
Create design specifications.
Maintain currency, accuracy, and relevance of information in the data warehouse.
Develop analytics and reports using Oracle Reports, Discoverer or Business Objects tools.
Optimize the performance of BI applications and data marts.
Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, IT, or Computer Science preferred.
3+ years IT experience overall; minimum five years of software analysis, design, and development experience.
Advanced training in data management practices and data modeling techniques desired.
Previous data warehouse development project experience preferred.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Technical Skills:
UNIX, SQL coding and query optimization techniques, PL/SQL.
Data warehouse technologies (ETL, ODS, DBMS, BI).
Oracle 9i/10g RDBMS.
OLAP (MOLAP/ROLAP).
Oracle Portal portlets and Oracle Reports, Discoverer, Answers, Dashboard, and Scorecard, desirable, or Business Objects suite of tools: BusinessObjects client, Supervisor, Designer, and Web Intelligence.
Data modeling (dimensional and relational).
Prototyping and benchmarking experience preferred.
