Hi muzu,
You need to set one parameter
OS_AUTHENT_PREFIX in parameter file
actually this is OS authenticate user

Hi,
there are two types of password authentication method.
1. Password file
You need to create password file through ORAPWD utility.
when you give userid/pwd then password file method is use.
2. OS authentication.
You have to set two OS parameter.
"conn / as sysdba" or "conn /" then OS authentication method is use.
