| how to split a long string into 8 , 8 characters |

I did not what exactly u want. One thing what i can suggest is find the length of the string and then in the loop get 8 charecters using substr.

Please tell me what exactly is your requirement. i.e. What you want to do with breaking up with 8 char? is it to insert to database or to display in the screen etc.
