 Hi,

could any one please answer to these queries.


1.)what is the difference between normal grants and permissions & public grants and permissions?

2.)what is the sql to find out public permissions/grants in database

Normal Grants concerns mainly to the person to whom the grant is given.
And the public means the privs has to all the users of the database.

as sys 1. Grant create table to scott; means scott can create table on his own schema

2. Grant Create sequence to public; will allow all database users to create sequence.

you can get who has got the privs/rols give grantee='SCOTT' or public
e.g select * from dba_role_privs where grantee='SCOTT'/'PUBLIC';
