Hello,
I`ve been trying to install and run oramon on my solaris 8 running oracle 8.1.7 but seems like I am not able to monitor the listener and the sidebar shown in one of the screenshots doesn`t appears.
I did as the doc said, except by the part of creating a new user, which I already have to some applications.
If someone had such an issue using oracle 8.1.7 or any idea, I would be glad to read and test.
Best regards, keep up the good work.

What kind of error you are getting for side bar?
Did you checked the case in listener name? It is case sensitive.
Do a tnsping on your Solaris machine and make sure you get 'OK' result.
Post your reply back.

tnsping returned ok.
the side bar don`t even appear. I dont know if it should appear right on the first screen ( when I access http://mymachine/oramon), or if due to this tns issue, it should be clickable and appear later.
I will proceed recreating the namespace, user, etc to see if I did any mistake. If you feel like some new idea, please post and I will try.

There is no side bar on first screen.
It should look like this.

I am working on new version of oramon with more options and easy installations. Hope it should be out soon.

From what I saw in the screenshots, this side menu should appear as I clicked in one of my databases, right ?
I think that due to the error I reported, I am not able to click on it, or the link dont get activated.
I will keep an eye for the new release, and if you want me to do any other test, just drop a line.
Regards

I setup Oramon in Windows and I don't see a sidebar either.
However, in my case I think it's because the listener test
never succeeds (see separate post on this issue).
I'm using PHP4, Apache2, WindowsXP, Oracle9. The PHP/Oracle
configuration is working well.
On the positive side of things, I like the overall approach
and visual appearance of the tool. Appreciate the efforts
of everyone involved in providing it as an open source tool.
Cheers,
Jude
