 hi,
i m working on oracle 10g , but when i shutdown my database with command "SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE" it gets down properly but when i want to up my my databse with commant "STARTUP" i get error
ORA-01041:INTERNAL ERROR.HOSTDEF EXTENSION DOESNT EXIST
but it gets start when i restart my server.

so tell me wts the problem w/ it & how can i solve it permanantly.bcoz i dont want to restart my machine again & again.

have a look on Env variables
If on win recreate service again
And some time sqlnet.ora have entry as NONE
